Abstract
This study examines the effect of digital leadership on employee performance
within the context of the airline industry. In today’s rapidly evolving business
environment, where digital transformation is accelerating, leaders’ ability to utilize
technology effectively, motivate employees, and strategically guide organizations
toward their goals has become crucial. The aim of this research is to statistically test
the impact of digital leadership on employee performance among airline industry
employees. Data were collected through a survey from 450 participants working
in the airline sector in Türkiye. Analyses were conducted using SPSS software,
employing descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression
tests. The findings reveal that digital leadership has a positive and significant effect
on employee performance (β = 0.111, p < 0.001). The correlation coefficient between
the two variables was found to be 0.214 and statistically significant (p < 0.001).
These results indicate that managers with higher digital leadership levels have the
potential to enhance employee performance. This research contributes to literature
both theoretically and offers practical implications for management practices in the
airline industry.
