03.11.2025 – Call for Papers: April 2026 Issue

JoDRM invites original research submissions for Volume 17, Issue 1 (April 2026). We welcome contributions in all areas of defense resources management, including military leadership, defense technology, defense economics, hybrid warfare, military logistics, strategic studies, and related fields.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Manuscript length: 7,000-10,000 words
  • Double-blind peer review
  • No article processing charges (APC)
  • Chicago author-date citation style

01.12.2025 – Citation Milestone Achieved

The Journal of Defense Resources Management has reached a significant milestone with 279 citations in 2025, demonstrating growing scholarly impact in defense resource management research. The journal’s H-index of 14 and consistent citation growth reflect the quality and relevance of published research to the international defense studies community.

15.11.2025 – International Author Base Expansion

JoDRM continues to expand its international reach, with Volume 16, Issue 2 (31) featuring contributions from researchers across 11 countries including Azerbaijan, Greece, Indonesia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, and USA, reinforcing the journal’s position as a truly international platform for defense management research.

31.10.2025 – JoDRM volume 16 issue 2 (31) released

The 31st edition of the Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) – volume 16 issue 2 (31) was released on October 2025. The articles are signed by prestigious reseachers and scholars from Romania, Azerbaijan, Greece, Indonesia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Turkiye, Ukraine, and USA.  

19.07.2025 – JoDRM indexation in Crossref (DOI)

Starting from 18 July 2025, all articles published in the Journal of Defense Resources Management are indexed in Crossref with DOI assignment, ensuring permanent article identification, enhanced global discoverability, and automated citation tracking for its defense management research.

Crossref is a nonprofit open digital infrastructure organization and the largest DOI registration agency that provides persistent identifiers for scholarly content, creates a lasting and reusable scholarly record, enables automated citation linking and metadata exchange across the global research ecosystem, and offers research integrity tools including plagiarism screening and publication status tracking to support open science and enhance discoverability of academic work worldwide.

15.06.2025 – Enhanced Publication Ethics Standards

JoDRM has updated its publication ethics policies to align with the latest COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. All manuscripts now undergo comprehensive plagiarism screening using Sistemantiplagiat software, and authors are required to disclose any use of generative AI tools in manuscript preparation. These enhancements ensure the highest standards of research integrity and scholarly ethics.

29.08.2023 – Sherpa Romeo and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of the fulfillment of the criteria for inclusion and the successful completion of the approval procedures, starting from August 18th 2023, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed and ranked by the Sherpa Romeo database.

Sherpa Romeo is an online resource that aggregates and presents publisher and journal open access policies from around the world. Every registered publisher or journal held in Romeo is carefully reviewed and analysed by our specialist team who provide summaries of self-archiving permissions and conditions of rights given to authors on a journal-by-journal basis where possible.

03.07.2023 – Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of the fulfillment of the criteria for inclusion and the successful completion of the approval procedures, starting from July 01 2023, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed and ranked by the Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers database.

The Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers is operated jointly by the National Board of Scholarly Publishing (NPU) (approval authority of journals, series, and publishers) and Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (with operational responsibility) on behalf of The Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. In the register, often known as the Norwegian Register, you can find publication channels approved as scientific publication channels (journals, series, and publishers).

19.03.2021 – ERIH PLUS and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of the fulfillment of the criteria for inclusion and the successful completion of the approval procedures, starting from March 19 2021, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed in the ERIH PLUS database.

ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities) is an index containing quality checked bibliographic information on academic journals in the Humanities and Social Sciences (SSH). The responsibility for the maintenance and operation of ERIH PLUS international database belongs to NSD – Norwegian Centre for Research Data.  

25.01.2018 – J-Gate and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of a new partnership with J-Gate, starting from January 25, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed in J-Gate discovery service.

J-Gate is one of the most comprehensive database and access gateway for the discovery of global e-journal literature. It provides seamless access to a massive database of journal literature, indexed from 49,322 e-journals with links to full text at publishers’ sites.  

11.11.2013 – Cabell Publishing and JoDRM Agreement

As a result of a new agreement with Cabell Publishing, Inc., dated November 11 2013, the Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) was indexed in Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities.

Cabell’s Directories of Publishing Opportunities contains a wealth of information designed to help researchers and academics match their manuscripts with the scholarly journals which are most likely to publish those manuscripts. Information provided includes: journal topics, acceptance rates, number and type of reviewers, time to process reviews, manuscript specifications, contact information, and submission procedures.

24.01.2013 – CEEOL and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of a new partnership with the Central and Eastern European Online Library (C.E.E.O.L), signed on January 24 2013, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed in CEEOL.

The Central and Eastern European Online Library is an online archive providing access to full text articles from humanities and social science scholarly journals, and re-digitized documents pertaining to Central, Eastern and South Eastern European topics. 

31.08.2012 – ProQuest and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of a new partnership with ProQuest, starting from August 31, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed in ProQuest.

ProQuest is a web-based information service providing access to a number of databases covering various subject disciplines, including business and management, education, science, computing, medicine, telecommunications, the social sciences and newspapers (local and overseas).  

04.07.2011 – DOAJ and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of the fulfillment of the criteria for inclusion and the successful completion of the approval procedures, starting from July 4 2011, all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. Inclusion in DOAJ demonstrates that the journal meets high standards of quality and best practice in open access publishing. DOAJ is independent, with all services provided free of charge, and contains a diverse set of peer-reviewed, open access journals from around the world.

29.06.2011 – Ulrich’s and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of a new partnership with Ulrich’s, starting from June 29 the Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) is included in Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory – Ulrichsweb.com

15.06.2011 – Commitment to Open Access

The Journal of Defense Resources Management reaffirms its commitment to Gold Open Access publishing under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication with no subscription barriers, maximizing research visibility and societal impact. The journal does not charge article processing fees (APCs), with publication costs fully supported by the Regional Department of Defense Resources Management Studies and the Romanian Ministry of National Defense.

04.01.2011 – EBSCO and JoDRM Partnership

As a result of a new partnership with EBSCO Publishing, starting from January 04 all articles published in Journal of Defense Resources Management (JoDRM) are indexed in EBSCO International Security & Counter-Terrorism Reference Center Database Coverage List.

The main benefit of the partnership with EBSCO is to increase JoDRM’s visibility and exposure both domestically and internationally, with a view to promoting the dissemination of theoretical and practical research investigations published by JoDRM in the holistic field of defense resources management.
